Going around the world through Asia, Australia and South America and just wondering what the best way of doing these things is
Personally I take (or more likely 'forget to take') one 'world adapter' with me that should work with any funky plugs you encounter. Dixons in the uk has them for example but you can get them most places, also abroad if you forget yours like I always do
As money I take an ATM card, and usually a credit card for emergencies. I'd try and store that somewhere else than where I keep my ATM card if I'm travelling alone, just in case I get robbed... You could a,so tuck some cash away somewhere as an extra backup, but I'm not a big fan of having much cash on me when travelling!
Hope that helps!
I use a "hidden pocket" money belt and keep my passport, CC, and ATM card in it. I usually take out enough from an ATM for a day or two but not a lot. I've never been robbed in my travels but it's a good idea to put all CC numbers, passport number and emergency numbers in an email to yourself so you can retrieve them, if needed. There are world adapters but you can buy one in country if you need to get one. Oh, and I put any tickets (air, train etc.) in my money belt.
