Campervan - Sydney to Cairns (Cape Tribulation)

So i am planning to take a campervan from Sydney up to Cairns then on the little bit to Cape Tribulation around the last week in August or the first couple in September. Just plan to take it easy with the driving doing 4-5 hours or so a day and try to make it up in a week or so. The rest of the time i hope to spend appreciating what Australia has to offer. So i was wondering if anyone in Sydney around that time wanted to take the trip with me? the campers i been looking at can hold anything up to 6 people so more the merrier i guess.

Hey - so i fly into Brisbane September 30th - ive not really made any plans other than to head possibly head down to Byron and travel up the east coast from there until i need to start working!

So if you reckon you would still be about by then - sounds perfect

however...i am one of those lame asses who doesn't drive i'm afraid :/

Jen

Ok Sweet thanks Jen i'll put some updates on here when i know more solid plans of what i'm going to be doing

Adam

Hello Adam!
Was there last Christmas and it was awesome crazy in a camper. We hired from Hertz and got a pretty good deal. Had it for about 6 weeks.

Driving only for 5-6 hours a day is a good idea. You don't want the driving to be very taxing given that there is so much to do in Australia.
