Hey, so figured since there are alot of people travelling to Sydney for Xmas & NY, that would set up a facebook group just for it. I know there's probably a bunch out there, but figured this be more specific.

Mostly it's us moderators who check against promotional links and remove them. A single link like this is fine; just don't go promoting it everywhere on the board, because then it starts falling afoul of the .
(Also please consider that these kind of facebook groups are somewhat harmful to the forum, as they draw people away to facebook, some of whom would otherwise have chosen to stay around on the forum even after having set off travelling, and gone on to help the next batch of travellers. So if you derive value from the forum, please consider also actively continuing to check in here, and not only asking questions, but also helping other travellers with things you've already learned yourself.)
Oh right ok, and I had thought I'd managed to cheat the system haha! Don't worry, it's just the one, and it won't deter me from the site anyway. It's just that when you get talking to others on this, they generally look to add you on Facebook, so figured it would be a helpful way to get us altogether. I'll still be here to help others, much as to get help with my own travels
