hi all,
Just looking for any1 that has had recent, personal experience with traveling t the US with a caution? I have a 6 year old caution for possession of cannibis and i have 7 weeks left till i travel, i dont know whether to wing it and just say no on the waiver or go the proper visa app route.
Iv read lot of contridicting stories about what info the customs actually have access to and to how easy and how difficult getting a visa can be.
No one can offer any advice when you give no clue which country you're talking about or your nationality or which Passport you hold.
That said, I'll assume you're British in which case your situation is not unique in any way, shape or form and it has been addressed ad nauseum throughout . Start by reading the last several pages.

Im sorry Terry I thought the forum and subject i posted under would have given people a clue as to where im travelling ;-) and yes im british, im looking for recent personal experience from people who have tried either way of entering the US and the outcomes for them.... not i know a guy who or she said that kinda thing.... cheers now!

That fact that you're travelling to the US was self evident, but nationality and Passport and where the infraction happened is crucial info - not all nationalities are treated the same by US Customs & Border Protection.
