Hiking / sights around the Sierra de Grazalema in winter?

Soaking up some sun in Andalucía to survive the depths of winter is once again becoming necessary (nearly a yearly tradition by now). This year we're thinking of leaving behind the big cities, rent a car and see some smaller towns and stretch our legs a bit. The Sierra de Grazalema and around would be the likely destination. Ubrique, Grazalema, probably a sidetrip to Arcos de la Frontera. We enjoy hiking, photography, castles, quiet courtyards, rooftops, rolling hills dotted with olive groves, amazing vistas, good food. Looking for some personal recommendations of where and what you really enjoyed, which would fit with that (recommendations for specific hiking-trails and restaurants particularly appreciated). We've already explored Ronda quite thoroughly, but wouldn't be opposed to seeing a bit more in that area either.

January is not the best time of the year, but you should be able to do hikes. Just have some clothes for the rainy weather with you and check the weather forecasts beforehand. The clouds can come very quickly, so you better be careful. It is always better to stop walking for a while, if the visibility gets very poor.Typically the daily showers come to Puerto del Boyar (Nature park of Sierra de Grazalema) early afternoon, but they will not last long.

You will find information on Grazalema routes in the Topwalks website (maps, route descriptions, GPS waypoints, driving instructions, photos etc.): www.topwalks.net/en/sierra_grazalema.htm k

Very helpful that. Thanks!
