Saigon to Hanoi - motorbike

Hey Guys,

One question: Do you have a Vietnamese Drivers Licence?

Cheers,
Terry

If possible, you can ask a local agent to design and provide you with the vehicle and tour guide. A lot of sightseeing activities from Saigon to Mekong Delta and beach as well as the trip along the coast to Hanoi are on offer, depending on the time you have. These motorbike tours are very popular in Vietnam. You should not miss it.

Kind regards,

Minh Hoang

CW,
Since you are already in HCMC, you know using a tour company as suggested in post #4 is probably out of your budget. I priced the Easy Riders in DaLat and quickly passed on that idea. I have rented motorbikes in DaLat & Nha Trang and came away OK. But, I would not do what your are proposing. HCM to HAN is over a thousand kms on some very busy and dangerous roads. As Terry pointed out, you are going to be riding illegally. No VN DL. But what I would be concerned with is having an accident. That will ruin your VN adventure. Many Vietnamese are killed and injured every year on their roads, almost all of them on motorbikes. If you do ride up to HaNoi, use extreme caution at all times, don't ride at night and lock it up every time you stop. Good luck.
