Hello guys! I will be going to Osaka on March and I need some advice from those who have been there. Well I've been in Tokyo before and its a very expensive city. I heard that Osaka is cheaper than tokyo. What are good places to visit there? Any ideas?
You'll find that just about everywhere in Japan is pretty expensive - especially in comparison to most of Asia. Osaka will only be slightly cheaper than Tokyo.
As far as sites go, I think Osaka is Japan's least exciting city to visit as a tourist. The Umeda sky building is pretty cool and gives you great views of the city, and Dotonburi is fun to stroll around in the evening. After that, there's not much that you didn't see in Tokyo.
However, luckily some of the top sites in the country are all within an hour or two away. Head to Kyoto for enough historical and cultural stuff to last you weeks. And when you think you've had enough temples and history, head to Nara for even more. Himeji Castle is one of Japans nicest and most famous and shouldn't be missed. And if you want to some more modern city life, I think Kobe is a really nice city.
Thank you for that! I'll keep that in mind. Can you recommend a good hotel with great location in Osaka?
