Hi,
As a Dutch citizen (just a hunch there) you don't need a visa or anything for a visit to New Zealand of up to three months. There's a form to fill in at arrival, but I don't recall it asking any even remotely related questions (wrongly so, though the one question turns out to be only vaguely related), and so I really wouldn't worry about this at all.
*searches around a bit*
Ah, there it is. Here is the (PDF) which you fill in when arriving. Sounds like you can honestly answer "No" to the question "[Have you ever] been deported, removed or excluded from any country at any time?", since you received a bridging visa in Australia and left on your own.
(Or are you talking about a Working Holiday Visa for New Zealand? In that case I don't know what they ask - if they specifically ask if you've ever overstayed in another country, I don't know what to advice - otherwise I probably also wouldn't worry about it.)
