Hey!
So I'll be landing in Australia on the 5th of March and am just getting down a vague itinerary now. I would love to visit Tasmania and Kangaroo Island along the way as they look very beautiful and I'm a big fan of nature! I have a problem though as I cannot drive and the information on many sites about these 2 places seems to require you to hire a car. I was just wondering whether anybody knows if there is any sort of public transport around these places.
Also, ideally I'd like to spend at least a few days in Flinders Chase N.P., on Kangaroo Island and generally anywhere on Tasmania - maybe Freycinet N.P.? If anyone has any accommodation recommendations (backpacker budget) around these places then that would be great too! I'd rather stay away from tours but if anyone knows any well priced ones that will make things a lot easier then that would be cool too.

Tassie doesn't really do public transport like other states (). You might also like to think about hiring a bicycle or going with the dreaded tour only where necessary
