India and Nepal for christmas/new year. any tips

I'm heading to India around the same time, 28th december to 14th Jan. Think we're heading to Goa and looking for a good new years eve rave! Any advice would be great

If you like classical dances of India and more so of southern India, then come to Chennai. Every evening there are concerts, classcal dances etc till 14th Jan which is a big festival day in Tamilnadu due to Pongal harvest festival.
