Onour last trip I packed a friendly, comfy and robust pair of sandals. In the heat of India they turned against me and out of desperation I purchased a pair of the dreaded, ugly and quite frankly hateful crocs.
Form follows function - same as our feet I suppose.
They are ugly though.
OH NO! I guess they would be great for traveling, and they must be comfy cause EVERYONE wears them! I don't think I could bring myself to wear them though haha THROW THEM!!! lol

I know what you mean. I purchased a pair last summer and am really surprised at how comfortable they are, and in different types of weather too. I'm thinking they would be as good as sandals on a trip. I like that they're closed at the toe but still well ventilated.
The only thing would be you'd need a different pair of shoes for eating out at night, so by the time you add walking shoes, that's at least three pairs. I really don't know how people travel with only two pairs of shoes. I'm still working on doing this.
Forgot to mention, for the Brits, they can be worn with socks for extra style (not).
Ummm....have seen them worn with socks in Australia too... Not by me though -
Really though, I've got an olive colored pair and, aside from the look and the bulkiness in terms of packing, I think they would make a really good holiday shoe, they're so comfortable and light.
They pong a bit if you're not careful. I had to sit next to someone who was wearing them and must have had a cold or something. Bloody staggering it was.

I would simply just die without my crocs, I take them absolutely everywhere and they handle everything I throw at them. I take those, a pair of hiking shoes (if I feel I really need them) and a pair of flipflops. Sorted!
I have to admit though, they are the most hideous things ever!!!
Perhaps if we just wear them in other countries and hope we don't run into anyone we know.
I love my Crocks!!! I almost live in them. So far I only have 4 pair. Be careful when the area is wet, I have almost fallen several times. Pickers and thorns will go through the bottoms of the soles and glass will too. I cut my foot because I wasn't paying attention to were I was walking. I'm glas to hear they are even going on vacation. Now I will have to look for a new color to go with me on vacation. I always wear socks with mine too.
