Hi guys
Jeff,
I use several and see what each quotes. Try 'kayak', 'sidestep', 'cheapoair'. You can see what all the airlines are offering, side by side comparison. Then go to that airlines website and see if they have any special deals for the route/dates you want to fly.
You cannot go wrong with the Bellagio, Wynn, Venetian. I would also check Aria. Brand new, offering good deals when not full. Plug in your dates and they may have a better price than the other 3. Good luck with your planning.
Try opening up the airports websites and see which airlines are arriving and departing, then contact them directly. Still do the flights websites, but do the airport search as well. I've got some good internal deals in the USA and Canada doing that. Sometimes if you're departing tomorrow - or within 72 hours or so, it's cheaper to contact the airline directly for a last minute bargain, than the flights websites.
Vegasmike6 knows vegas best, but I have to say that I'm partial to Mandalay Bay. Having a gigantic wave pool and a "lazy river" both on-site in addition to the regular pools makes it hard to pass up--even if it is a bit remote as Las Vegas strip hotels go.
Thanks for the tips on the websites, have checked it out and found some bargains.
Will look into the belagio and mandalay bay soon.
cheers
JEff
Be sure to check Southwest Airlines's website (www.southwest.com). They are a lost-cost US carrier, and they don't publish their fares on any other site but their own. They are also one of the few carriers not to charge checked-bag fees.
