Hi Guys
Kyoto and Hiroshima were my favourites in Japan.
In Kyoto in particular I really liked the northern part of the city where you could just walk arounf taking in all the traditional buildings. In Hiroshima visiting the Peace Park is quite a memorable experience.
Hello Jeff,
Yes, Emmett is right.
I've been to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Hiroshima.
I really prefer Kyoto and Hiroshima.
You can take a walk around Gion in Kyoto to see if you're lucky enough to see Japanese ladies in kimonos.
In Kyoto, go to Tsujiri and please try the matcha parfait. Kyoto is famous for green teas.
When in Hiroshima, do make a trip to Miyajima. It is an island.
There is a really, really nice unagi bento on the mainlaind. I swear... hahahaha....
Happy travels..
cheers...

I spent 2 weeks in Japan and my route was Tokyo - Kyoto - Fukuoka, with a day trip to Hiroshima (from Fukuoka) and a weekend in Nagasaki. The peace museums in both Nagasaki and Hiroshima are excellent.
Kyoto and Hiroshima were my favourites too, and I also loved wandering around Gion at night. I was lucky enough to see a meiko (trainee Geisha) which was really great.
I'd recommend getting a Japan Rail Pass (must be purchased outside Japan) as it will save you loads of money on train travel.
Yes, yes... i forgot about the Japan Rail Pass... It saved me a lot of money and I was just taking one bullet train after another till I got sick of it... hahahahaha... Well, I live in Singapore and we don't have bullet trains, so it's a novelty for me...
As Bex mentioned, u need to purchase it outside of Singapore... either online or through a travel agent...
Thank you very much guys
I will definately get a rail pass. and it sounds like i need to get myself to Hiroshima, Kyoto, Fukuoka and Nagasaki.
I'm even more excited now!
Jeff
