What's a Thai intro? Is it a tour of Thailand?
My advice would be to visit Koh Phi Phi and Koh Pha Ngan. My two favourite islands in Thailand.
I'd also say it's worth opening a Nationwide Flexaccount. Most banks charge to make withdrawals overseas, but Nationwide don't charge for withdrawals overseas as long as they're on the Cirrus or Plus network. If you make a withdrawal via Visa they've started charging 1%, so I would try to get a Nationwide cashcard without Visa on it. There's plenty of Cirrus and Plus network ATMs everywhere in Thailand, so Visa isn't really necessary anyway for ATM withdrawals.
But anyway, over the course of a holiday this can save you a bit of cash.
I fly out with a few mates on the 2nd June. Cant wait!!
Staying in Bangkok for a few nights partying then off to Koh Phangnan islands for the World Cup and more partying.
If your still in Thailand on 26th June....make sure you go to the Full Moon party, this will be my first but I've heard its amazing and cheap as...Also, Half Moon and Black Moon parties are in the run up to the Full Moon.
After this 2 of us are calming down a bit and travelling around the rest of SE Asia for 4 months, then off to OZ and NZ. Are you just having a holiday or travelling a bit aswell? My bro goes on holiday to Thailand/Vietnam every year and loves it.

Any idea how the World Cup is being shown?? Have you been Koh Phangnan before? My bro reckons they have a projector on the main beach (Haad Rin i think) onto a mahoooosive screen.
Anyway, you seem like your going for pretty much the same reason as me...gonna be partying hard!

Drop In Bar used to show the football on a big screen but they haven't used it for over a year now. The big screen is still there, they just don't use it for some reason. Plenty of bars show the football, though. Outback Bar and Same Same bith have big screens and are probably the best places to watch football in Haad Rin (for atmosphere).
