Am planning to buy a new camera specially to use it for traveling.Any Suggestions for it?
SLR or compact?
I'm considering the to replace my Sony P&S. It's getting pretty good reviews, isn't too expensive, and I like the feature where I can take the memory card and plug it into a new Panasonic HD TV to get an instant slideshow. My camera needs to fit in my pocket easily.
I'm personally a huge fan of the Olympus waterproof camera. It takes amazing pictures and works perfectly well under water. The under water pictures are surprisingly high quality which is a great deal especially when you consider the price of the camera (ranges from 120-140).Just make sure it doesn't drop on the floor frequently. I dropped mine all the time and unbeknownst to me, it had tiny cracks on the screen. I went swimming with it one day and water penetrated through the cracks, into the camera and it died. I'm buying another one for my next trip and this time I'm buying a camera case for it.
