I'm heading to Oz at the end of Sept (doing 2 weeks between Bangkok and Singapore first)... I fly in to Cairns on 27th, then pretty much have about 6 - 8 weeks to make my way down to Melbourne, before flying in to Auckland.
At the moment, i'm only going away for 4months as my work has granted me the time off... but i may decide to go for longer. If i do extend my trip, i'll likely stay in Oz a bit longer and apply for working visa (i'll decide this probably July time)
Would be great to meet up if we're around the same area, same time as i am also travelling alone. I'm Scottish too (live in Aberdeen), and will be 24 by the time i travel. Like you, all i'm after is good weather, good banter and good fun!

Im flying into Melbourne and planning on travelling round Oz for 4 months, spending Christmas and New Year in Sydney, before heading off to NZ for 4 months then travelling round SEA for 4 months then back to the UK. I have a working visa for Oz and NZ so im planning on picking up some bar work or whatever to keep my funds toped up as I travel.
Im fairly easy to get on with and im just up for having a good laugh, meeting new people and trying out new experiences. Would be cool to know some friendly faces when im travelling round OZ.
