Hello!
I'm hoping to see parts of Spain on my Europe trip this summer. I want to see a few of the major cities like Barcelona, Madrid plus all the Canary Islands.
I have a few questions:
- How long do you think I need in each city/island?
- What's the best way of transportation?
- Any attraction suggestions?? I am up for anything! The can't leave Spain without doing.

It would help to know how much time you are planning to be in Spain. Are you only planning to go to Spain? Portugal is very nice too and I would consider looking into going there too if you have the time.
As far as Spain goes, it looks like you are focusing on the big cities, so I would recommend to utilize buses and trains as having a car in a big city can be a liability due to parking. The high speed train network is not as extensive in Spain as other European countries and it can be expensive. If you have time traveling by bus is a good alternative. How long you need in each city depends on what you want to see, but I would say at minimum 2-3 days in each city.
As far as regions, I really love the Andalucia region. Sevilla and Granada are amazing cities that I really liked in this region.
Of course, Barcelona is very well known and there is a lot to do there. Northern Spain is very nice too. I haven't traveled the north extensively, but I did go to San Sebastian which was very nice.
Can't help you much with the Canary islands.
