Going back to Australia without a visa?

Hi Guys,

Hey,

Awe I know how you feel on the missing oz front - I was out there for 2years between 2006-2008 and I am still missing the place.

It is alot harder for girls to get cash in hand jobs as guys can just go out on to building sites but there are some cafes and bars that do it, altho the money is shit - your maybe gona get $12 p/hr but ts just actually finding them thats the hard part. The only way is to go around asking. I am not sure what way the fruit picking ones are.

My only other suggestion is to get your NZ WHVisa and go there for a year and at least your legal to work over there and your not just as far away so your bf can go visit & vice versa on holiday visas!!

Hi Guys,

Iv used up both my first and second year visa in Australia but really want to go back as I miss it like crazy and eventually want to migrate there

Then you should go through the proper channels.

My partner still has a one year working holiday visa so im wondering what my options are with regards to going back out there and working whilst he uses his visa.

Your option is - apply for a tourist visa.

What are the chances of picking up cash in hand work/ fruit picking etc until my boyfriend gets sponsored?

Next to nil - only dodgy types would do this and if he decided not to pay you, you haven't got a leg to stand on.

I know its risky but are there any other ways? Were in the process of starting our skilled visa application as hes's an engineer but this could take years and i really want to be back out there bythe end of this year and if we can get sponsored ..bonus!.

There has been a temtporary suspension of certain visas to Australia - including applications for Subclass 175 – Skilled Independent (Migrant) visa.

Regardless of what some may tell you, it is illegal to work cash in hand and it isn't as common now thank goodness - it's bad enough when locals try it, but when overseas visitors try it and get caught - and yes, they get caught, you will be deported and sent back - at your own expense. Your name goes into a data base and is shared with other agencies. You will not be permitted to enter Australia for 5 years.
