Does anyone have information regarding driving a Panamanian registered pick-up all the way to Vancouver,from Panama.
I may exit via the Sixiola border crossing into Costa Rica.
I plan on leaving the beginning of June.
it can be done and has been done. Have ten copies of everything. Never let any federale search your vehicle without you being present. Have money for payoffs.
Sixaola is not the greatest crossing for a vehicle. It's a dilapidated railway bridge and only good for one way at a time, which can tie you up. Be ready for a long day, but enjoy the experience. That chaos there is a hoot.
The Costa Rica side of the border crossing at Sixaola is pretty sticky about proof of onward travel. The only place I have ever been asked. I don't know what they need to prove you are continuing on from Costa Rica with a vehicle.
