You can go to KYONGBOK PALACE - NATIONAL FOLKLORE MUSEUM - PASSBY THE PRESIDENTIAL PALACE, BLUE HOUSE, SEOUL TOWER (CABLE CAR + LIFT), CHOGYESA TEMPLE.
You really need to investigate the free . I did, and was very pleased with the result.
There is so much to see and do in Seoul.
The War Museum is fantastic and is well worth putting aside a few hours for. Seodaemun prison is also good and provides an interesting insight into the colonial era. There are 2 excellent markets - Dongdaemun and Namdaemun - which are worth a walk around. There are plenty of temples and palaces, the most interesting and attractive being Gyeongbokung. The N Seoul Tower provides a great view of the city and is accessible by foot or cable car up the mountain. I'd recommend wandering the nearby streets of bustling Myeong-Dong at night when the streets are filled with neon lights. Insadong is also an interesting district full of teahouses and craft shops.
In the centre of the city a walk along Cheonggye stream is nice, as is a walk or bike ride through Seoul forest park. There are also some good walks in the mountains surrounding the city. Namsangol hanok village is a reconstruction of traditional houses which is interesting.
Migliore Mall and Lotte department store are good for shopping.
If you want to get out of Seoul for one of your days there I'd highly recommend taking a tour to the DMZ on the border with North Korea - it's fascinating. There are various tours available but the best one is reputed to be with ; I did this tour and it was excellent.
Try and sample some when you are there - it's delicious!

I live in Korea and Seoul is a great city. For good night life head to Hongdae, or the University district. Everyone knows where it is so you can ask anyone. The Metro system in Seoul is great, get yourself a T-Money card which you top up with cash to use on the Metro. For food I agree that bibimbap is a must, but I would suggest you ask for Dolsot Bibimbap, which is the hot (heat not spice) version-just remember to mix it all up and add chili sauce!
Threads like this make me think, what am I waiting for...aside from winning the lottery.
This should inspire me to save... I'm definitely travelling in September, but I can only pick one country.
