Holiday in Mallorca

Hello Everyone,

top 10 best places of Mallorca

1. Palma Cathedral - Standing tall in a striking waterfront location within the city of Palma Mallorca is one of Spain's finest examples of gothic architecture.

2. Valldemossa is an artists dream from a distance.

3. Platja de Palma - If you are staying for a short period then Palma's nearest large beach is more than adequate.

4. Peninsula de Formentor - At the north east of the island beyond Port de Pollenca you will find the jagged peaks and sheer drops of Peninsula de Formentor.

5. Palma Restaurants - Palma has by far the best selection of restaurants, cafes and bars the Balearics has to offer.

6. Palma-Soller train - I have to say this is not to every one's taste but I find this train ride is a great way to get under the skin of the island.

7. Soller - Hidden away in the mountains the country town of Soller is full of old stone mansions and sloping narrow lanes that navigate you around the town.

8. Arta - The small town of Arta is situated at the top of one of Mallorca's steepest hills and is home to arguably the most important Mallorcan shrine.

9. Deia - Located on the western side of Mallorca half way between Valldemossa and Soller, Deia is a beautiful old village of stone buildings that sits on a spectacular mountain backdrop.

10. Monestir de Lluc - Sightseeing in Mallorca would not be complete without a trip to the remote valley 35km north east of Soller, where you will find the Monestir de Lluc.

I give you this list. I hope you will enjoy it.

Have a nice trip.

Hi!
I remember going to Mallorca for week with my family when I was really young.
We had a hotel in a town right next to Palma named "Palma Nova", however we had friends who were on vacation on the same time in a town in northeast part of mallorca named "Alcudia".
We decided to rent a car and drive over there and its such a beautiful island! I would suggest you to drive around too, however it really depends if you are a person who likes to relax on the beach or explore!

Good Luck!

Hi.. Ami

You can take part in some of the organised walks in Mallorca or visiting some of their wildlife parks around the island. Perhaps you would like to discover Mallorca independently either by car, bicycle

There are many entertainment facilities available for the children such as Waterparks and Marine Land, and of course the beach - all that sand, sun and amazing warm sea water - what more could they want.

Hotels are quite good in Mallorca, i rated them 3 out of 5

Have fun!

Mallorca is a beautiful island and can give you almost whatever sort of holiday you want. Palma itself is a lovely city but the resorts either side are a bit naff. That's why my own website mostly shows little hotels in other parts of the island. Essentially, the north-west coast is rocky and rugged with little gravel beaches in little coves (Puerto de Soller is the exception, where there is a long sandy beach). Just inland from the north-west coast are the Tramuntana mountains: enough walking to last a lifetime.

On the south coast, get away from the main resorts and there are some long sandy beaches that are not over-populated. Turn up along the east coast and pop in to all the delightful little "calas" (small bays with low cliffs and white sand beaches). Turn again along the north coast and there are more long sandy beaches and a few more people, but not really too many. Go into the centre of the island and you will find villages and towns completely untouched by tourism.
