Hi everyone,
As is usual, you plan too much. 6-8 weeks barely give you enough time to get from BsAs to Lima at an agreeable pace, let alone 'do Brazil' as well.
I'd get a flight back home from Lima, and stick to exploring the north of Argentina, Bolivia and southern Peru. On my profile I logged some travels that might give you an idea; there's also heaps of suggestions in this forum for exactly that part of SA.
Re transport: bus is the way to go. They're not always very reliable, so don't make too tight a planning, but you'll get there in the end.
