North America Honeymoon

My fiancée and I are getting married next summer, and I'm trying to come up with the perfect honeymoon. We want to go somewhere in North America that isn't a typical beachy spot (maybe Northeast US or Canada?). We love the outdoors, so somewhere that is based in nature and location is very important. Does anyone know of any resorts or fantastic locations that would work? We're open to so much, and are so open to your opinions.

My suggestion is in the Northwest - the of Washington State

How about Acadia National Park in Maine:

Or maybe Sedona in Arizona:

Or maybe Breckinridge in Colorado:

Or maybe in the area near Bend, Oregon:

Good luck deciding

P.S. My cousin lives in Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands (Daawgon's suggestion above) and loves it there.

How about staying at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec city, Quebec Canada

Again with the San Juan Islands?

Vancouver City / Whistler.

in Vancouver - Stanley Park, English Bay, Jericho Beach, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grousse Mountain - all within the comfort of your hotel. Vancouver is great in that it has the urban feel (trendy restaurants, shopping, clubs, bars) but is also a very outdoors-like city.

In Whistler - zipline, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, RV

Whistler is about 2-2.5 hours from Vancouver, so you could even go for a day trip if you want with the Greyhound.

You could consider a national park or a water-water rafting resort--like the ones near Jackson, Wyoming, or near Oak Hill, West Virginia.
