Mexico Beaches

Hi everyone

I once went from Las Vegas to Acapulco by bus. And back! Took a month and I stopped at most of the beach cites on the way to Acapulco. I suggest ., a cobblestoned zocalo, a pretty, traditional Mexican fishing village. Only 5 miles away is . Plenty of and flash hotels close by. Best of both worlds IMO.

Vegasmike's suggestions are good ones. Similar towns might be Acapulco and Cabo San Lucas, but both of these are more commercial than the places vegasmike recommends. I have friends who like Todos Santos in Baja California, but there is no nightclubs there; it's just a fishing village.

Try any place in Baja California. It still has that wild west feel and has awesome beaches. How about Mulege or Bahia de Los Angeles?

I guess beaches of Oxaca state (Pacific) will be perfect for you: Mazunte and especially Zipolite (surfing and hippie/party vibe. If you there, go to Oxaca city -very interesting.

Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca has all the watersports and the nightlife without the highrise hotel vibe.
Thirty miles south by bus or collective taxi, find Zipolite and Mazunte, two quiet beaches where you can pitch a tent beneath a palm hut or find an inexpensive rental. Not a huge amount of night life there but some.
Further north try Zihuatanejo for beach, nightlife, and water sports. Tidy little beach community still simple but well developed.
Further nort one of my favorites, San Blas, a hundred and fifty miles south of Mazatlan. San Blas is as quiet and rustic as they come with a huge bay for surfing, eco tours, and inexpensive lodging.

You can also try this outfit for a wild fun adventure with no hassles-

i would highly recommend puerto escondido i went their at the start of the year and it was the best spot i stayed at in mexico mainly because of the hostel
theres a few good nightspots there that stay open most of the night and is just generally an awesome place to chill during the day an party at night.
