Van-Turkey in November

Hello everyone,
My family and I are planning a trip of life, we've got a vw camper van and we are going to drive from uk to australia. If everything goes as plan we leaving in sep from uk and hopefully we will be crossing Van-Turkey heading to Iran before the bad weather starts so i really would like to know what to expect in november..close roads? snow? rain? would be possible to drive through this area?
Any help or comment would be very appreciated.
Peace and love to all
Vanessa

hey there,

Never been to Van but thats my mum's hometown so I knew about it a little. First of all van is located in the most cold province of Turkey. espically in winter ofcourse. But highways and main roads used to be open even in worst blizzards. So if you stict to highways and city centers you wont face with close roads or any other problems but I can ensure you that the weather will be terribly cold when you get there and even colder as you pass the border.

here is the english version of turkish weather forecast institute's web site :
http://www.meteor.gov.tr/en-US/forecast-5days.aspx

you can check the weather in a detailed way before you go.
