Yeah you will be fine, safer than most Western countries id say. all rules apply, dont walk alone at night, stay in crowds, watch surroundings.

Istanbul is very diversified in terms of modern - conservative life styles. in conservative areas try to cover your shoulders, no mini skirts, no makeup etc...
