Manchester United fixture

Just realized I posted this on an old thread, so I'll try a new one.

getting to Manchester, best way is to get the train to Manchester Picadilly (there are quick Virgin trains to Manchester from London Euston.
when get into manchester there is the tram service and get it to Old Trafford station and then walk down to Old Trafford (stright walk down the road and cannot miss it).

getting tickets you can go the official route
try contacting manchester united ticket office to enquire as there might be tickets that be obtained via general sale on http://www.manutd.com
or try
http://www.viagogo.co.uk/manutd for officail ticket exchange

Thanks so much!

The cheapest form of transport to Manchester from London is with Megabus. The return fare, if booked in advance - is only around £10. From Manchester (Shudehill Interchange) you can jump on a Metrolink (tram) from Shudehill to Altrincham and get off at Old Trafford. There are also trains running to Manchester United FC on match days, from Manchester Oxford Road (journey time 10 minutes). The stadium can be seen from miles away.
If you're planning to come by train from london - then make sure you buy your ticket well in advance, or it'll cost you a fortune.
Quite often, an advance ticket From Euston to Wigan North Western and a local ticket from any Wigan station into Manchester works out much cheaper. Check both options out - but remember, the cheapest tickets are the advance tickets, not ones bought on the day or a couple of days before you intend to travel.
You can buy tickets directly from Man. U's website. There is no need to go through any agency. Just be aware though, that tickets sell out very fast, even for mid-week games against lower tier clubs.
