I lighlty hit a kangeroo when driving so put it on the BBQ..

Hi Everyone, ok so I didn't, but thought it might catch your eye!

Are you and your friend on a strict budget? Do you know if you'll be hiring a camper or buying?

You might need to arrange your trip around the "wet season" in northern Australia from November through to the end of February when it's likely to be hot and humid with the possibility of flooding and heavy rain.

As you say, if budget isn't an issue then you can mix and match flying and touring, but remember Australia is a pretty big place!

If you can, I'd choose to fly into Perth, then I'd have a trip up the west coast to Darwin. From Darwin you can travel down through the centre of Australia to Melbourne. From Melbourne fly to Cairns and have a trip down the east coast to Sydney (and Dec 20th).
