Rucksacks

Hi Guys

today i bought a berghaus jalan 55+15 with an atached travel pack,it was reduced from £120 to £50

I've also just bought a Jalan (60 + 10).

I haven't had it out in the wild yet but I've filled it up and have had it on my back for a few hours. So far I'm really happy with it.

The day pack isn't the best but I have another day pack already which I prefer anyway so it wasn't a big deal . . . The 15L day pack would be the minimum size to go for as the 10L is very small.

It also doesn't include an all weather cover.

I spent an hour in the local camp shop trying on many different ruck sacks and travel packs, this one just fitted me the best and it is so comfortable and really easy to adjust. The fact that it is a travel pack makes it very easy to get access to all parts of the bag. The straps all tuck up and can be concealed also which makes it great for checking in to flights.

From what I can see it is also made from very tough material.

Barry.

i've just bought the Vango traveller 70 + 20, however they also do a 50 + 20 if that seems a bit big for you.

I took the daypack out walking yesterday and so far so good.

It has a cover for the straps at the back for when you're checking it in at the airport and a full waterproof cover.

Another thing i found really useful last time is that it has clips on the daypack and backpack so that you can wear the backpack on your back and the day pack clipped to your front, so your hands are free.

I paid £95 for mine, sorry can't remember the website!!

Good luck x

Not sure how long you are for but you dont need a rucksack that big. I got by with a 36L for 2 months... If you bring a pack you will fill it. I would go with a 50L max no matter what your doing. I used the Kelty Goshawk 2200, awesome pack.

DulSaSeans mine came with a waterproof cover,ar you sure yours never, does it feel like theres somethin still at the bottom,if so,then were the back support starts, theres a little secret pocket thing that has the waterproof cover in.

am i a complete dope for not realising the bag i have bought is a womans,or does it not matter?

If the bag fits, don't worry about whether it's a man's, woman's or unisex. In fact, some brands make the same pack in different colors and call it a woman's pack. A true woman's fit has the shoulder straps closer together so as to fit a woman's build better. If it fits you, that's really all that matters.

Posing on a hill somewhere, wanting to look all windswept and interesting - only then it would matter.

Thanks razzaefc, I'll have a look tonight and see what I find!

If it proves one thing, it shows that the secret pocket works! (Either that or I'm a complete moron )
