2 weeks in the states!

xXxPorsche has indicated that this thread is about USA

If Ferrari make Greyhound buses you still havent a hope of it.

Haha, or even Bugatti.

Anyway, I think you want to enjoy your time and actually do and see something instead of travelling.
With two weeks, no flights and no car (how old are you? there are car rental companies who do offer rental cars, just search the web) I would seriously suggest to visit either NY/Washington DC/Philadelphia, or San Francisco/Las Vegas/Grand Canyon/Los Angeles.

Have fun!
Michael.

I'd narrow it down to Boston,NYC on the east coast or San Francisco, Las Vegas on the west coast, I'd also take some tours by bus or boat in the locations i decide upon..

ROFLMAO ! good one!

Not to be making fun of you because hell, your just enthusiastic about the chance to go and that's great!
However, the country is just too big!

Being your stuck in that age group where rental cars are just our of reach your best bet is the Amtrack train - America's attempt at the the Eurorail!
You could probably do Boston-NY-Washington DC or Philidelphia on the east coast.
On the west coast you could do Los Angeles-Santa Barbara-San Francisco. If you leave from L.A. my gut feeling is it would be better to catch the train in Chatsworth, (San Fernando Valley), then leave from the LA station. The last time I was at that station it was like it was in a concrete wasteland and not the best advertisement for LA. The Chatsworth station if I remember is on DeSoto Ave. and while the valley is far too crowded for human beings it's location is nicer then the LA's. However, the valley is a world away from the tourist sites in LA and you have to think of the logistics of getting there to Chatsworth from LA. There is a hotel in Chatsworth with good restaurants right near it which would easy taxi ride to the station if you were to get there the night before...and good entertainment nearby.

On the assumption you are from Europe heres a USA /Western Europe comparison chart that i post often to give visitors an idea of how large the distances are.
Just drag the red dot

If you are from Australia then its (USA)about the same size distance wise.

Hi there! May I ask how old are you? cause I'm just wondering maybe you can still drive a car going to different places that you want to go to in the states. There are a lot of -snip- in US and you can choose what kind of vehicle are you planning to use plus it gives you accessibility and comfort at the same time while you're on the road. On the other hand, there are tons of beautiful places in USA but I advice you to visit Grand Canyon in AZ, Disney World in Florida, Niagara Falls in New York, Universal Studios and Sea World in CA. Go to these places and make your American Dream come true!

Good Luck on your trip! You have a nice one!
