Hello, I'm posting on behalf of my other half. In 2003 he was convicted of ABH and did a year inside. Since then he hasn't been involved with police at all, changed his life around ect.
He's just surprised me by booking 5 days in new York for my 21st in July. Iv done his waiver and it came back within seconds with him bring accepted. He doesn't want to declare as he knows if they say no then it's blown completely. But I'm worried and scared! He was 20 when he got done and will be 28 when we go away. What's your advice? Please don't judge him. I think we should just say no to it all x
Since not everyone on this site has been arrested, we aren't familiar with the three-letter acronym you mentioned. (What's an ABH?--Aggravated Burglary?, Assault and Battery?). Hard to know much about the charge if we don't know what you are referring to.
But, if as you say, your other half has been reformed--(and I have no reason to believe he hasn't)--and if he properly applied for and received a valid waiver in order to get a proper visa--then you have no reason to hide anything. If he lied on his application and you are worried that they are going to ask questions at US customs that revealed he lied or hid information, then why would you expect that we are going to advise you on how to assist him (or you) in hiding this information?
Look, the simplest answer to your question is to answer all questions honestly, while at the same time not volunteering information about which you were not asked. If you have other more detailed questions besides those, I suggest you get legal advice.
Here's hoping you (and your other half) enjoy your trip to the US--and don't have any problems when going through customs.

If you do a search, you will see this question comes up every week. Go through some of the older posts on this topic. I think you will find you do have reason to be concerned.
A UK TP member reported that her daughter's BF flew into the US with a visa waiver. Answered 'no' to the arrested/convicted questions. When they fingered printed him, this arrest record from the UK popped up. He was put on a plane back to the UK. It seems the UK has shared their records with the US. I know Canada has.
My best advice is to do much more research. You have many months to find out if he will be allowed in before July. Good luck.

I've travelled to the US many times, so the person's daughter BF must have been a wanted PEADOFILE
I think the term you really want is 'pedophile'. Not many people assault peas. Okay, I don't care for them but just sayin'...
Again, this is an old thread (Nov., 2010) and I'm positive the original poster has worked out their own issues.
