I'm a 21 year old girl and have made the decision to get up leave my life and fly to Australia on a whv on my own! :o
From N.Ireland but flying from Glasgow at the start of August to Dubai for a few days then into Brisbane to stay with family for a week or two before I begin my travels.
SO excited but a bit aprehensive about travelling on my own. Is anybody else heading out around this time? Or has anybody got any advice?

I'm planning on heading over to Brisbane by myself in August. I have family out there so I plan on seeing them for a bit. Besides that the plan is to go out and get work and find a place.
I've been to OZ twice and the last time I was there I travelled up the east coast from Sydney to Brisbane. It's great craic but it can be costly. I was there for 6 weeks and had 3k with me and that lasted. It all depends on what your going to be doing over there really. The expensive things are all the activities eg. waterparks, bungee jumping, tours etc.
My family live on the Gold Coast and trust me when I say it is a class place to live. Loved it out there and the nightlife is great craic. Brisbane is a great place aswell.
Hopefully when I head over there'll be a few other people heading out aswell and looking to meet up and maybe renting out a place and working. If you need anymore info give us a shot
