Can anyone help, im really stuck as too what travel insurance to get, ive been on sta travel, but i really canot choose,
Hi Kirsty Mac
Try Columbus travel insurance - Usually pretty good
Dave
I used Atlas Direct last year. Checked loads of companies and sites and they were the cheapest.
However, this year they'd started having a maximum limit on the number of days they would insure you for, so I had to go with Sainsburys Insurance instead. Again I checked loads of sites and they were the cheapest that had a low excess. I could have got it cheaper if I'd been prepared to accept a really high excess, but then it's not really insurance so I like to have a low excess so I went with Sainsburys.
Print off all the policy breakdowns and compare what each company covers you for and by how much. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions you will need to bear this in mind as a lot of companies won't cover them.
Also compare lists of covered activities - eg. skydiving is rarely included without an extra premium and some companies don't cover it at all. I found STA the best for sports/activity cover.
