What should I do in Bangkok for only ONE day?

I'm visiting Thailand in 3 weeks (solo) and have only one day in Bangkok before I head down to Southern Thailand. I am wondering what anyone recommends I see/do while I'm in Bangkok with such a limited amount of time.

You may sightseeing The Emerald Buddha Temple and the temples around there like Wat Po, Wat Arun, Phukhao Thong etc. I think there're interesting places in BKK if you have few time. You can take tuktuk or taxi from Phukhao Thong to The Emerald Buddha Temple then walk to Wat Po and take a ferry boat to Wat Arun. There're close enough for sightseeing in one day.

Hope this can help.

I would recommend the Grand Palace: for me that was definitely one of the highlights of Bangkok. I also found interesting.

More or less I'd second the suggestions above.

The Grand Palace and Wat Po are definitely good places to spend the day. I'd probably put them at the top of the list if I only had a day. Taking the ferry to them and seeing life on the river and possibly stopping at Wat Arun should more than fill a day.

For dining go eat at the Suan Lum night market.

i am from bangaldesh going to bangkok today . U can go to kings house in the morning and spend some time or go to floating market which is interesting thing to see and at night if u are club frick there is plenty things to do .

The Authors Lounge is where to go for Bangkok’s most famous afternoon tea; to loaf in wicker-chairs and revel in an atmosphere that oozes bygone colonial charm. Knowing famous authors and movie stars once hung out here only enhances the sense of occasion.

Ankit

There are many place to travel in Bangkok like the Emerald Buddha Temple, Grand Palace and kings house, if you want you can also enjoy the sea beach of Bank.
Thanks
