I've got a choice to go to an city in either America (US), South Africa, Canada or Australia. I'm UK based so Australia is easily most expensive to get to but which would you say is cheapest to stay and do activities for for say 10-16 days? I'm medium budget based - not backpacking but cheap hotel with my gf. Thanks,
S.Africa cheapest, then Canada second cheapest i would say.
Very few of these countries have uniform prices - the cities in the USA, for instance, will vary greatly (New York is very expensive while Portland is much more affordable). S. Africa is certainly the cheapest because it is the only developing country in this group.
