Since you have been to Vegas before, you probably have been to the many free things to do while in LV. I always take friends & visitors down to the Fremont Street Experience. All enjoy the hour or two we are down there for the famous light/sound show. The FSE now has a zip line that goes overhead. All visitors should also see the fountains at the Bellagio, the Mirage Volcano and the Sirens of the T.I. All free and worth your time. While at the FSE you should stop in at the Golden Gate. They have the best/cheapest shrimp cocktail in town.
You really will have an argument on what is the best show in Vegas. Celine Dion has returned and is getting rave reviews. Jersey Boys sells out nightly and was voted 'best show'. For those that like Broadway, The Lion King & The Phantom of the Opera are also here. There 7 Cirque shows to pick from as well. Each night there are over 200 shows to pick from. No other city in the world has that many shows or the variety Vegas has to offer.

VegasMike6 is the expert on Las Vegas and has lots of contacts with the people that run the shows there--of course, since it is his home town, he has a bit of an advantage over the rest of us
My son recently went to Las Vegas with his girlfriend and attended the Beatles "Love" Cirque de Soleil show and said it was the best he's ever seen/heard. You might look into that one--though I doubt Mike can get you free tickets, since they sell out every night.

I take my friends and visitors to the Boulder Station buffet. Close to my house, good buffet for a decent price. The Danish guys that were here a week ago to buy an Expedition ate there 4 times in 6 days! BF for $5, hard to beat that. They got their own players card the first day for the discounts offered on Boulder's buffets. We would look for vehicles, then have a late lunch. That was it for the day. Did not need BF or dinner. One way to do it while in Vegas.

I was in Las Vegas back in 2005. Don't forget to get a glimpse of the white tiger at the Mirage. Dont get me wrong I am against animals that are inbreeded for the purposes of entertainment but he looked so majestic seeing him with your naked eyes.
The Mirage used to have a free white tiger exhibit just off the casino. Alas, that has now closed. Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden has white tigers, dolphins as well. However, there is a $17 entrance fee.
