I was just wondering what travel insurance people have brought when going out in Oz for 12 months on a WHV. I really dont want to pay a huge amount but then again I want to be covered. I was wondering if any one could give me any advice on what sites to go on and what price im roughly looking at. Ive done a bit of research on direct line insure and go and downunder.

We've gone with Downunder insurance, it took me ages (and I even complied my own 'comparison' spreadsheet!) to find the right one that had a decent level of personal possessions cover and also covered for different activities. I was able to add specific items to the policy in the value upto £1000 each which was vitually impossible with other companies (so laptop & 2 iphones).
We paid about £550 for the two of us for 12 months, and this included adding the 3 specific items and adding a couple of extra excursions (sky diving) and a return trip home during the 12 months.
