Travelling for Christmas and new years ALONE!

Hi guys

I can recommend Vienna and Bratislava for Christmas .. very nice market, vine and fun

You might want to go to places where you don't see too many christmas trees and hear Jingle Bells every 5 minutes.

Go someplace touristic, Asian, with expat communities, bars, and western food. Go to Southeast Asia or China.

I've had these a few times in previous years... So I am suggesting you will spend the count down in some bar with travelers or expats, getting drunk, and eating western food...

I am spending Xmas and the new year in a town, where I am the only foreigner... But I am going to host dinner and buy toys for the kids in the neighborhood. But I hope a foreigner will drift in my town with some cheese and swiss chocolates in his backpack.

I think you would love it in Europe. Anywhere would do. Greece, Spain, France, Italy... I think they would all be lovely for the holidays.

You should go to Vail, Colorado, USA. It will be expensive but the time you will have can't be measured in money. The mountains, the skiing, people from all over the world enjoying Christmas in the American Alps. Have a few Colorado Bulldogs, a couple Hot Apple Pies and you will forget about going back to jolly old England. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I think Europe would be a ideal place to go as any place in Europe is Awesome. You can also book cheap International Flights this festive season with Travelocity and enjoy your travelling.

If you've never been travelling alone then that's an easy answer....Australia! The reason behind this is because if you've never done something like this before then it's a safe bet. I read in a traveller guide years ago that you should always do a "pilot run" on your own in a country where you won't feel completely alienated if you're not liking it (some people go through this and to waste a ticket coming back would be hideous!). Australia is amazing at new years anywhere you go there, so if I were you I'd do just that. Feeling more adventurous and not wanting to spend too much?...I'd say go for Thailand as it's the best step up if you're looking to make the most out of a place where you can do so much and be around fun people! Hope this helps.
