Most countries, including India, do not need a visa to enter Thailand. As far as I know, Indian nationals get a 15 day tourist visa on arrival. To make things easy on your self, contact the Thai Embassy in your home country, make sure of the facts, and apply for a 30 or 60 day visa before you go. Getting a visa is as simple as downloading the forms to be completed from the internet, complete them and courier ti the Thai Embassy together with 4 passport size photos, your passport and the amount required which the Embassy will indicate. It will also be indicated on the form. Usually it does not take more than a week for you to get your passport back with your visa stamped inside.
