I'm planning on traveling to Leh in the middle of June 2012 by myself. I don't want to spent my entire trip alone so where is the best backpackers to stay at to meet people? Do many tourists travel to Leh in June?
Its very optimistic that you are doing it all by urself.
There are homestays and camps in places in leh
The must see places are nubra valley, pangong lake, highest motarable road, shanti stupa and other monastries etc.
Though i think you should consult a few travel operators for the itinerary and other helps.
You can do a SUV tour from Delhi to back to Delhi that will be cheap and have budget stays in homestays and camps in different villages, you will be able to experience something amazing. I say this coz when you fly you miss out whats on the road.
