UK Passport on the fly

Hi guys,

Firstly, are you sure you are eligible? Was your Dad born in the UK as a British citizen, or was naturalised in the UK? Was he & your mother married?

Secondly, if you are eligible then it would be better to obtain the British passport before travelling, otherwise you would be entering the UK as a tourist. If you get the application off now, you should hopefully get the passport in time however you don't say when in May you're travelling. This is something that should have been sorted out before organising travel tickets really.

Thanks for taking the time to respond but all sorted, yes I'm eligible and it's on it's way now, so no harm done.
