Hi all!
How can you be frightened if you've already been there - unless you only went to completely off the beaten path locations last time?...
If you stick to the usual guide book "Gringo Trail" then you'll find that Thailand is PACKED with backpackers just like you. The question won't be how to find other people to hook-up with, it'll be how to get away from foreigners for some peace and quiet and perhaps actually meet some Thais.
Tranquilo... have fun...
Cheers,
Terry
Thinking of going there myself for about that long at about that time- where abouts were you thinking? Sammy - 24/f
When women get in trouble usually consuming too much alcohol and making risky decisions is involved. Same for male tourists - drinking too much and taking chances!
You will be okay but be careful of "over friendly" strangers you just meet. Take normal precautions like you would in a big city in your own country. You can Google up scams and be aware of them. Tuk-tuks, gems, closed palace and buses booked from Khao San Road travel agencies are some of the scams.
Good luck.
Thanks for all the responses!
I might do some diving to pass the time and also meet some new people while there. I am not sure where I will be going to just yet!
