we are traveling from Zurich to Interlaken to Geneva to Nice France. Need 4 trains. which is better and what is the difference between Raileurope passes vs. tickets. We are there in 4 weeks. I hope it is not too late to reserve trains. Any ideas?
I always go on raileurope's website, the world version not the US version, and go through the motions of buying tickets to see how much they'll probably cost. Then compare that to the cost of a pass for the right number of days. For me, there's never much savings, if any, to buying a pass but it's good to check. You are close enough to the trip to use the real dates of travel. If you had planned further ahead, like another month, you may have gotten some discounts. You might even find some discounts a month out for buying online vs the day of travel.
