September 2013, where should i go?

Hi, last year me and 4 friends spent 5 weeks interailing around europe (amsterdam, berlin, prague, budapest, salzburg, ljubljana, bled, split, dubrovnik, venice, rome, marseille, barcelona, seville , Algarve). We got to see so many different places and had a good balence of culture, sights, places for nights out and relaxing stops. It was the most amazing 5 weeks ever, we had a brilliant time and wished that we could have stayed for longer.

Hi Louis,

I'm suggesting you to travel to Sri Lanka where lots of fun and lots to do. you can cover everything in 3 weeks leisurely. In Sri Lanka, you will find that the costs are very cheap in everything, so consider traveling there. If you need more info, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Happy Travelling!

Menaka

It seems that you and your friends are interested in the historical and cultural places of interest. But I suggest you to visit some new places whose culture and history are different from that of Europe. Asian countries may be your best choice and I recommend China according to my travel experience in China.

China is one of ancient countries with long history and rich culture. There are some oldest cities like Beijing and Xian and their ancient relics which give you some knowledge about ancient history of China. In addition, many ancient towns are the best places to snatch the glimpse of the past of the country. I visit Pingyao Ancient Town last year. When I quietly strolled along the flagstone street, I think a lot about myself, history and my life.

The natural view in some places like Guilin and Shangri-la is very splendid and attractive. I browse the pictures of Guilin mountains and river through the internet and was attracted. Before my journey, one of my friends told me that you can get a lot more than travel itself. So you can consider China.

By the way, in Semptember, the weather is comfortable.

Since you have almost covered the entire of europe and you are looking at the south - east asia I would suggest you and your friends to visit India. It has got a great history and also one of the most exquisite

countries of south asia. There are many historiacal places to visit like agra, jaipur. You will find great historical structures out here.

It is also quite mythological place, you could vist some beautiful temples here. There are many great temples in the eastern and central part of india. It has got some world's biggest temples.

The northern and the nort eastern part of india is the most beautiful part of india. You will find the himalayas and those huge himalayan peaks. They are just amzing to visit. The most beautiful place of the himalayas would be visiting kashmir.

You can also visit Andaman and Nicobar islands. It has got some wonderful beaches and some of the beautiful scenic beauty.

The weather would also be fine in the month of september.

yes! The China Nepal & India - I enjoy idea too

I could offer you a trip to Portugal. They have very bewitching nature, and what about view on the ocean, it is simply remarkable. You have the possibility to spend the best days of your life, don't forget about it. My adventures interest, I think, as well as you. Ask me, if something you don't know about it.

i think i am seeing that asia is the general trend. all places in asia look so amazing its hard to choose one. flights between countries in asia are very cheap and so maybe we could do a few different countries.

I know portugal quite well as my grandparents live there. i agree it is very nice but i think from this i have concluded that i want to go somewhere out of europe, asia looks to be the favourite at the moment.

the only issue is the cost of flights to asia is so much more than to europe. where is the cheapest place in asia to fly to from uk?

I don't know why you were interested by Asia. I heard about war in those lands. In Portugal are your relatives, I already have been read. Except all this, I lives there in Europe. And where exactly live your native?

I am (& my friends) permanently on a way of tourist roads of Asian part of the eurasian continent - these are the countries of Caucasus, Central Asia, China, Nepal, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey ... and we can advise you specifics on the basis of each country transcontinental route. It depends of one question - if you like extreme adventure in framework of reasonably your abilities - it is perfectly acceptable ... My colleagues and I have been in different situations and in various capacities - from "VIP" status up to "Nomads of the North" (as at Mr. James Oliver Curwood) ...

Hi,

First, you've not exhausted Europe if you want more new stuff similar to before. From your description you've not touched Scandinavia, the Baltics, or the Balkans beyond Croatia. Lots of scope there.

For instance for three weeks you could route Copenhagen Oslo Stockholm Helsinki Tallinn Riga Vilnius with options to extend into Norway, St Petersburg & Moscow, or carry on down into Poland or Ukraine. As you say, loads of cheap flights make this practical.

Re cheap flights to Asia, I've found Qatar airways are often cheap if you're willing to have a few hours layover at Doha airport, they make them cheap to undercut direct flights from other carriers.

The difficulty of Asia is that you're not going to get across the variety you would in Europe in the same amount of time. KL could make a good hub and use air Asia to see various places.
