Hi!
I want to ask for advice about Budapest.
It's our first visit, short - 4 days only, definately we want to take the best and do not spend time for banal.
Will be very much thankful for recommendations, how to compose the trip that fits our expectations.

Budapest is one of my favourite cities that I've visited. Based on reading the things you seem to like, I'd say one of the places you should definitely to to is the . A great Art Nouveau building and some pretty interesting exhibits inside as well. You can see more of Ödön Lechner's architecture throughout the city. He's likened as being to Budapest what Gaudi is to Barcelona.
Another thing we rather enjoyed doing was going to the movies while we were there. There's a strong cinematic culture in Budapest and some of their old cinemas are just beautiful. was the one we visited.
When we visited (2005) there were some great fleamarkets on the weekends. Really enjoyed going to one of those as well and picked up some fairly unique souvenirs.
And of course, a visit to one of the Turkish baths is also somewhat a must when in Budapest.
If you are looking for a guidebook, I'd put in a strong vote for the Timeout guide. It rates as my favourite guide book (of any city) to date and really provided a great backstory to the city. This is assuming it hasn't been revised too much since 2005.

I've been to Budapest two or three times, and it's a wonderful place - personally I like it more than Prague!
The place I remember most of all is the Underground Labyrinth (located somewhere near the Fisherman's Bastion if I recall, which I'm sure you'll be visiting as it's a prime view spot anyway).
It is a truly unique blend of history, art, architecture and personal journey that just has to be experienced.
I read it closed down in 2011 - but I also saw that it reopened in 2013.
When you get to Budapest, just ask at a tourist info place if it is open or not - if it is GO!!
Also if you like zoos, which I do, the Budapest one is very spacious and has some pretty nice environments (they had a newly born super cute baby rhino last time I was there). It also has some amazing architecture from it's early days, the elephant house is a fantastic example!!
and you should see the art work on the inside!

Well I not really mention places to skip, but to not skip!
The must-see-places are: the Castle of Buda, the Parliment of Hungary, the old Synagogue, the Basilica, and the beautiful streets like Andrássy street, Könyves Kálmán körút, with wonderful buildings. These are located quite at the same area, in the center of the city. If you're good with google maps, you can easily design your walk. During Könyves Kálmán körút you can find a park of the museum called Hungarian National Museum, and at the opposite side of the street near the Astoria, you can also find a garden behind the buildings.
There is a Circus as well, at the area of a big park called "Liget", near the funpark and the Zoo, and the neighborhood of the very famous and beautiful bath, Széchenyi. I bet you can spend there like a day, going back to the center by the Millenium Metro line.
Previously mentioned Uránia Cinema Hall, also near to Könyves Kálmán körút and Astoria, you would love it!
What to eat? Well there are many nice restaurants at the old jewish quarter at street Kazinczy, I would recommend it. And you should try "Lángos" at the local Markets - not supermarket - especially at Vámház körút, wich is at the end of Könyves Kálmán körút! Check at the Map!
If you not a veggie and you can eat pig, try the very tasty fried sasuages called "kolbász" (colbas), and the liver sasuage called "májas hurka", with bread, mustard and pickles.
It isn't commercial and very tasty!

oh yeah, about graffitis: there are more street art stuff rather than graffities, there is a wall like 500 meters long -or less - but you have to travel for it like 30 minutes from the center. It's called "Filatori gát", you can go there by suburb railway. It is still at the city area so you can use your public transport tickets to get there!
And don't miss the ruin pubs of Budapest! Like Szimpla, Kőleves kert, Instant and Fogas ház. Located at the old jewish quarter, that I mentioned before!
