Traveling to Oz in June too by myself and also got a WHV! Booked a few nights in Sydney to start off with but really not done much planning looking to travel around.
What's your plans are you looking at working or traveling about? Have you done anything like this before?

Haven't made any plans , just a couple of nights booked in surfers paradise , think I'd like to travel around a bit first , find somewhere I'd like to work . How about you?

I know , got so much to do but literally can not wait to get out there !!
Sounds good I've definitely got to check that out! I really didn't know much about the different places so thought head to a big city got 3 nights in Wake Up hostel which looked pretty good then no plans from then on. Would like to look for work and get as much saved so can just go off visiting everywhere after once I learn more about it all! Hope it's quiet easy to get jobs!
Me either never even flown on my own before so pretty nervous! But soo excited to get out of here too!!

I'm hoping there's some bar jobs going, Sydney seems pretty lively so I'll take a look around there if it doesn't work out can always move on, best thing about having no plans! But I don't mind any work really, what about you? Do you know much about the job situation out there?
Haha yer I hope there's someone to talk to on the flight as well , would defiantly make it go faster
Yer I'm going to do my RSA training so I can do some bar work at first on the east coast hopefully ,
Yer I've heard good things about work out there , my friend is out there at the moment and gave me this app to download called seek which have new jobs going up everyday

I'm travelling alone also. Get to Sydney on 29th September, thinking of staying there till just after NY! Then I'll probably do 3 months farm work (to get 2nd year visa). Then just hoping to travel about really!

Yep, a quick Google of RSA NSW should bring up this link for you: (I have presumed you're interested in working in Sydney).
In any case, the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) accreditation is a mandatory requirement and differs between states. You can read more here:
