Do Blogs have to be Out-of-Country?

Just joined to see and chat with a friend who is spending time on a Hyena study in Africa. Fascinating!

Welcome!
There's is very little moderation on our blogs; just the basics to keep spammers and link-farmers away.
As long as you like the provided functionality, and accept that most features, and development of new features, will be geared toward travellers, I'd say it's entirely fine for you to keep a blog here (and that goes even more so if the focus is still on things that travellers might find interesting, like interesting places in New Mexico).

Hi ABQ, yes, this kind of blog would be fine so long as it is not some kind of promotional blog. I do come across quite a few link spammers who try post similar kinds of blogs on Travellerspoint. Those are promptly removed. But if yours is a genuine blog where you just want to share local travels then it's well within what's expected of bloggers on TP.
