Hi travellers
Seen that you state your trip is essential, I suspect you're on some 'official' business in the area? In that case, the organisation on whose behalf you're going will be able to help you with the insurance issue.
A few months ago I was talking to an insurance underwriter () as part of a contract renegotiation for another company, and they said (then) they would insure travellers heading to war zones, so they might work for you. I have no idea what kind of price it has by the way.
thanks bentivogli, unfortunately i need to arrange my own cover.

Thanks Sam, that's the only insurance company I've found who will cover me. However, the cover comes at a premium - as you'd expect.
It's £180 for a 20 day policy, £6 a day.
I was hoping there were others! lol
Wow, that is indeed pretty steep
