According to me Andros Island is option for you
I have only been to Santorini out of those sorry. I recommend Perissa beach over the main town. If you want to message me I can tell you where we stayed and the places we found to be the best. The hotels there can be as cheap as the hostels on the mainland.
Santorini is the BEST island in Greece, i suggest you to rent a car and go arround all island, don't forget to try dunkeys! and take a ferry to go to volcano springs.
OK, I know it is very touristy, but Lindos on Rhodes is a stunning place. If you stay for the evening all the tourists go away on their buses and it is much nicer!
One of the best ways I did it a few years ago (2004 I think) was to get into Athens by whichever means of transport, I took the train - then took the local rail service to Pireas. It only takes about 40 minutes or so. From there you can get cheap ferries to just about every Greek Island there is. The nice thing about Pireas is that there is a wide choice of boats too - from the very basic ferry to luxury liners, so the prices are there to suit everyone's pocket. There are free brochures galore at the port and you can sit browsing through them at one of the excellent harbour front restaurants.
Athens is well worth a day or two as well.
