Hello everyone im John male 26 from Miami Florida, Im going to my first asian country in october, ive been glued to my computer trying to get as much info on transportation, hotels, hostels, food and whatever else. I would appreciate if anyone has any info about anything important that would make my trip easier when I arrive, Im buying a train pass here in the states that would allow me to travel for 21 days on any train, Im just wondering about the places to stay, do I have to book in advance or just arrive at any hostel?

hey mate....i was thinking of heading to Japan myself. The train pass is very expensvie though. I have a friend that is just back. will try and tell her to write some information for you and every1 else on the forum
I think the most expensive part of the trip is the train pass, the pass for 21 days goes for $780 if you buy it here in the states.
